The State Assessment Office for Sherman County, a division of the Nebraska Department of Property Assessment and Taxation, is located on the second floor of the Sherman County Courthouse. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The State Assessment Manager has the duty to value all real and personal property in the county as a basis for the county board to levy taxes.
